it out of print physically, but it doesn't exist as an ebook *anywhere* for sale anywhere--- --- if you wanted to read this book (before now), you had to scour ebay for listings, and even then you'd have to be prepared to drop $50 (or more, up to$95+) to get your hands on a copy of this book to read, because scalpers and resalers are charging out the oiseau for a book that originally cost just $6.99 when it released. This book is so hard to get a hold of and so expensive when you do find it, that even the original author didn't have a copy of it last I heard. THIS is why the internet archive is so important. This book is out of print. This book does not exist as a purchasable ebook. The *only* way you can read this book is by getting lucky at a flea market or yard sale, or lining the pockets of resalers and scalpers who sell these books for truly exorbitant prices. The author is not making any money off these resales, the publisher is not making money, the only people profitting here are the resalers. Without the internet archive, this book would be completely inaccessible to 90% of readers; not everyone is willing or capable of dropping $50+ dollars on an old fandom book that can cost up to $100+ from resalers, and so many of these books are lost forever if they're not put on the archive, placed on dusty shelves and then staying there for years in the homes of collectors, unread and unavailable to the masses. The Quantum Leap novels are almost 30 years old, and without the web archive, I would never have even known they existed or had any opportunity to read them. Thank you so much to the user/library that donated this book to the archive, and thank you, internet archive, for making this out of print book available to read for free instead of lining the pockets of scalpers and resalers.
